The Story
In 2019, Iain Ward, otherwise known as The King of Chemo, was diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer and given five years to live. He saw past his diagnosis and decided to dedicate all the time he had left to achieving something worthwhile — breaking the world record for the most money raised for charity by running a marathon. The Dublin-born, London-based athlete has completed numerous marathons while undergoing treatment, demonstrating that those with medical conditions are not defined by their diagnosis.
